The applicant may be an individual or an organization. The applicant is required to read the mission statement of the Life Energy Foundation and is encouraged to read materials published by the LEF and to review projects of the LEF to familiarize themselves with the work and philosophy of the foundation. All applications considered by the Grant Review Committee will be assessed based on fit with the mission and goals of the LEF.
Applicants must submit a written appeal for grants. The application must include:
a letter of request,
the goal of the project,
an outline of the project being considered,
the credentials or relevant history of the individual or organization,
details of how the money would benefit the applicant and how it will be used,
statement of how the goals of this project fits the mission of the LEF,
three references,
and a financial/credit statement of the individual or principles of the organization.

The Grant Review Committee Procedures
The secretary will read the letter of appeal to the Grant Review Committee
A general vote will decide if the grant appeal is to be considered for review based on:
Money available
Initial impression of fit
Committee members will be assigned to:
review fit
further investigate credentials/credit histories
consider potential project success.
Committee members will present findings to the Grant Review Committee and grant application will be subject to consideration of board and all voting members.
This process will generally take 3-10 weeks for determination. Applicant will be notified by mail of the determination and may be asked for an interview or further supporting materials.
